Meditation is a systematic training that allows us to move beyond our restless minds and difficult emotional states into a calm, concentrated mind that opens to insights and wisdom. Meditation is the formal training of mindfulness, learning to be with your experience in a nonjudgemental way. Cultivating this quality of mind has been scientifically shown to modulate pain, mitigate anxiety and depression, improve cognitive function, and even produce changes in parts of the brain related to learning and memory, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.
As a meditation teacher, I teach new students in a clear and systematic way that makes meditation possible for everyone. For students who already have an established practice, I offer guidance along your path and ways to deepen your practice while avoiding the pitfalls.
